Estate Sales and My Mom’s Kitchen

So my cousin, Rae, loves to go to estate sales and buy lots of cool vintage stuff. She recently went to one and posted this picture of a shelf in the kitchen:

Looks like nothing out of the ordinary right? The main reason that it caught my eye was that growing up we had a lot of that stuff in our kitchen (it’s actually still there too)!
The measuring bowl on the top left shelf:
What I remember about these mixing bowl is that my Mom always used them when she made pancakes because they make it easy to pour onto the griddle, plus they actually have lids with a spout opening that you can close up the extra batter and keep it for the next day.

The baking dishes in the bottom right:

My mom always used these dishes to make meatloaf

These mixing bowls weren’t on the shelf above but I feel like they go right along with them and are so sturdy and neat. Nothing like my dinky plastic mixing bowls in my kitchen. (hmmmm maybe I’ll “borrow” them, haha)

We also had those Tupperware containers on the left middle shelf, except they were a bright yellow and a pitcher just like the brown one on the same shelf. I forgot to take pictures of those sets. The Tupperware containers actually came with large cylinder shaped containers that were designated for your sugar, flour, baking powder, etc. They are still in use at my parents house today.
I’m pretty sure these were all wedding presents from when my parents got married in 1977! How cool is it that they are sturdy enough that they are still used today, 35 years later (Shout out to my parents for such a long and great marriage!!). They’re all still in great shape too! I’m pretty sure most of the stuff we got as wedding presents this year we won’t be using still in 35 years, I just don’t think it will still be in as great of working order considering most of it now a days is made out of plastic and not as study. I’ll probably actually be using all of the stuff listed above in 35 years cause it will still be in great shape!
So yes, I know this was a random post on a random thought of mine, but I thought it was pretty cool that here people are selling this stuff alongside all kinds of vintage things. I never thought anything special about all these things growing up, but here it all is being resold for new generations to use. I wonder how much they were being sold for??
